JAMRS Opt-out Success!

In December of 2010, Northwest Suburban Peace & Education Project brought to Township District 214 school board a proposal to offer the students and parents of the district a method of opting out of the JAMRS (Joint Advertising Market Research & Studies) survey and recruitment databases; similar to the No Child Left Behind opt-out. We are pleased to announce that in a letter dated March 21, 2011, they have decided to offer an opt-out for the fall 2011 registration. Link to the press release . It is important that District 214 if the first school district in the country to offer their students a way to opt-out of both the JAMRS survey and recruiting databases.

Opt Out of JAMRS

You have to actually opt-out of two databases. One form applies to the recruiting database; i.e. you do not want your personal information used for recruiting purposes. The other form applies to the survey database; i.e. you do not want to receive/participate in JAMRS surveys.

What Is JAMRS?

JAMRS stands for Joint Advertising and Market Research & Studies. It is an official Department of Defense program for joint marketing communications and market research and studies. Read our fact sheet for additional information.
